Top Picks : Romance book Preview Post 2nd June. Includes releases from Nalini Singh, Uzma Jalaluddin & Jenn Burke

Top Picks is a weekly meme that we do here at Scorching Book Reviews. In this post, I highlight the Romance books that I want to read that are released this week. They are all books on my TR pile and only books we are interested in spending money on. I do not ask people to recommed books or highlght releases for author promo. I feel I have to point out that books in a series are only going to be featured on here if I have started the series. You are not getting book 8 if I haven’t read 1-7 … sorry, that is the way I work!! I’m using the UK cover as it is pretty – I can’t wait for this book. It is still one of the only eBook series that I will pay Hardback prices for. I pre-ordered it today. The fate of millions of lives hangs in the balance in this new Psy-Changeling Trinity novel from New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh… Kidnapped… Keep Reading »

#RombkLove Day 16 : Fake Relationships

#RombkLove Day 16 : Fake Relationships

I love Fake relationships but I could not explain to you why. It could be the angst factor (so much angst), it could be the slow slide from fake to real or it just could be because all of all the secret longing that goes on. Whatever the reason, I think I’ve read at least a 100 of these tropes and always am on the lookout for more. I’ve decided that Green-Card marriages and business arrangements fall under this umbrella too … these are relationships that are a front for something else Below is a few of my favourites (Although I have so many more recs!). Have I missed any classics? Should I add just more?? Genre Tags : #UF, #KateDanielSeries #Magic #enemiestolovers Content Warnings : Violence, Murder, Child Murder, Hero who was a past murderer, animal sacrifice I adore this book and cannot WAIT for the next. Elara and Hugh marry as a business arrangement and quickly become enemies. They have to band together to face a common threat… Keep Reading »

I feel I have to point out that books in a series are only going to be featured on here if I have started the series. I love love love Christina Laurens. I want to read this book but it’s going on the TR list as the price is a little too eye-watering for me currently. For two sworn enemies, anything can happen during the Hawaiian trip of a lifetime. Olive is always unlucky: in her career, in love, in . . . well, everything. Her identical twin sister Ami, on the other hand, is probably the luckiest person in the world. Her meet-cute with her fiancé is something out of a romantic comedy (ugh) and she’s managed to finance her… Keep Reading »

Top Picks is a weekly meme that we do here at Scorching Book Reviews. In this post, I highlight the Romance books that I want to read that are released this week. They are books on my TR pile and only books we are interested in spending money on. I feel I have to point out that books in a series are only going to be featured on here if I have started the series. I’m a bit late with this as it was released LAST week but I wanted to highlight it. This series is fabulous and so is tis book – if I ever get my ass round to reviewing again, I will be giving it 5 stars! She wants a fake relationship. He needs something real. If there’s one thing Rae can’t stand, it’s pity. She’s forty, frazzled, and fed up—so attending an awards ceremony alone while her ex swans about with his new wife? Not an option. To avoid total humiliation, Rae needs a date of… Keep Reading »

I feel I have to point out that books in a series are only going to be featured on here if I have started the series. I’ve had this pre-ordered for MONTHS. I love this series – it is smart, sexy and so much fun. You do not have to read it in order I suppose but it will help. The Reluctant Royals series returns with a good girl searching for the life that’s not too big, and not too small, and the bad boy prince who might be just right for her… Nya Jerami fled Thesolo for the glitz and glamour of NYC but discovered that her Prince Charming only exists in her virtual dating games. I feel I have to point out that books in a series are only going to be featured on here if I have started the series. I will get round to reviewing this but I have been lucky enough to review this and it is FABULOUS. Lucy Parker is rapidly becoming auto-try for me. This is 5 Stars. In which experienced West End actress Freddy Carlton takes on an Austen-inspired play, a scandal at a country estate, an enthusiastic search for a passion outside of acting…and the (some people might say icy*) heart of London’s most feared theater critic.*if those people were being nice Freddy Carlton knows she should be focusing on her lines for The Austen Playbook, a live-action TV… Keep Reading »

Hot Cover Monday : The Break-Up Bet by Cat Carmine

Hot Cover Monday : The Break-Up Bet by Cat Carmine

I think I’ve seen this image before but it’s just soooo pretty I don’t care. The reviews for this are pretty good too. Never make a bet with a man who plays to win… Especially not a man like handsome, arrogant Connor Pratt. AKA the huge PITA who’s currently crashing in my spare room. AKA my brother’s best friend since they were about six. AKA the one guy who still makes me feel like an awkward tongue-tied loser. But when Connor moved in, I got a glimpse of another side of him. Because, like me, Connor’s going through a nasty break-up. And, like me, he’s just doing whatever he can to get through it. Unfortunately, his method involves drinking alarming amounts of whiskey and watching a lot of, um … movies … that make every inch of my skin flush. I’m just trying to be helpful when I tell him that he should try my way: copious amounts of baked goods, sappy romantic comedies, and late nights spent whining with… Keep Reading »

They are books on my TR pile and only books we are interested in spending money on. I feel I have to point out that books in a series are only going to be featured on here if I have started the series. I am a fan of Carrie Ann Ryan’s books – this one is on the TR list. From NYT bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan, comes a brand new series where second chances don’t come often, and overcoming an unexpected loss means breaking everything you knew. I fell for Cameron Connolly at the wrong time. And when he left, I thought my life was over. But then, after the worst happened, I truly understood what that phrase meant. Now, he’s not ready for a second chance, and I’m not offering one. Though given that our families… Keep Reading »
