Hot Cover Monday : Shamelss by Gina L. Maxwell

Hot Cover Monday : Shamelss by Gina L. Maxwell

Look at how pretty this cover is … People say I’m shameless. They’re right. I like my sex dirty. It takes a hell of a lot to tilt my moral compass, and I always follow when it’s pointing at something I want. That goes double when it points straight at the one girl in all of Chicago who’s not dying for a piece of me. She’s all I can think about, and that’s a problem, because she wants nothing to do with me. But I’ve seen her deepest secrets, her darkest fantasies, and they match mine to a fucking T. I want her. Bad. Now I need to show her how good it can feel…to be shameless.

New Book Release Preview : Top picks of releases from this week

Image Copyright Protected from Pin Up Toons License details on the tab above Top Picks is a weekly meme that we do here at Scorching Book Reviews. In this post, I highlight the Romance books that I want to read that are released this week. They are books on my TR pile and only books we are interested in spending money on. I feel I have to point out that books in a series are only going to be featured on here if I have started the series .. I am unsure as to how I feel about this book. It isn’t getting rave reviews but I, like a lot of other readers, am ready for this series to end. I have pre-ordered it as I need to see how it all ends. It’s lucky number thirteen . . . this is the epic finale for our favourite Grim Reaper and her sinfully sexy son-of-the-devil husband, Reyes. Charley Davidson, Grim Reaper extraordinaire, is pissed. She’s been kicked off the earthly… Keep Reading »

Hot Cover Monday : Mister O by Lauren Blakely

Hot Cover Monday : Mister O by Lauren Blakely

I have never read this but look how pretty!! On the list for the cover alone, Just call me Mister O. Because YOUR pleasure is my super power. Making a woman feel ‘oh-god-that’s-good’ is the name of the game, and if a man can’t get the job done, he should get the hell out of the bedroom. I’m talking toe-curling, mind-blowing, sheet-grabbing ecstasy. Like I provide every time. I suppose that makes me a superhero of pleasure, and my mission is to always deliver. But then I’m thrown for a loop when a certain woman asks me to teach her everything about how to win a man. The only problem? She’s my best friend’s sister, but she’s far too tempting to resist–especially when I learn that sweet, sexy Harper, has a dirty mind too and wants to put it to good use. What could possibly go wrong as I give the woman I’ve secretly wanted some no-strings-attached lessons in seduction? No one will know, even if we send a few… Keep Reading »

Hot Cover Monday : Too Hot to Touch by Louisa Edwards

Hot Cover Monday : Too Hot to Touch by Louisa Edwards

In the theme of throwback, this is one of my favourite covers … and I gave it 5 stars back in 2011!! When it comes to competitive cooking, Max Lunden is no stranger to winning…though he’s never been great at working with a team. A master chef-and major hunk-he’s traveled the world, picking up new cooking techniques as well as beautiful women. But when the prodigal chef returns home to his family’s Greenwich Village restaurant, he discovers one too many cooks in the kitchen-and she’s every bit as passionate as he is…Juliet Cavanaugh used to have a crush on Max when she was just a teenager, hanging out at Lunden & Sons Tavern, hoping to catch a glimpse of the owner’s oldest, and hottest, son. Now a chef herself-competing in the biggest culinary contest in the country-Juliet will be cooking side by side with the one man she’s always admired…and desired. But despite their simmering attraction, Juliet is determined to keep her cool-no matter how hot it gets.

Top Picks – my 10 most re-read books of (but not released in) 2018.

Top Picks – my 10 most re-read books of (but not released in) 2018.

I couldn’t find any new releases that took my fancy today so I’m changing it up a bit. Today, I’m going to highlight the books I have re-read the most in 2018. This is NOT my Top Picks of 2018 as this is the books I have reread in 2018 over and over again which were NOT released in 2018. These are the books that I reread all the time, that I go to when I need a hug in a book. As I’m a series reader, I haven’t included more than one in a series as I will get to the last book if I can. There is one exception – you will see it when you get to it! Enjoy!   This is book three of the series but it is my favorite. This is a series to read in order – if you like strong heroines, who make mistakes, in a magical urban fantasy backdrop, try this series. You will not regret it. When magic strikes… Keep Reading »

Hot Cover Monday : Do You Feel It Too? by Nicola Rendell

Hot Cover Monday : Do You Feel It Too? by Nicola Rendell

The flowers, the abs…. the pretty! A hot summer night is perfect for feeling your way in the dark… For urban-legend hunter and television host Gabe Powers, it’s business—investigate the most notorious haunted places in Savannah. Then he meets his new sound engineer, a dewy Georgia peach who may just turn this gig into (im)pure pleasure. All it takes is one night for them to conjure floor-rattling, wall-banging moans…but they’re not from the ghosts. Blame the rippling abs, the cocky swagger, the granite jawline, the whole muscle-bulging package, but Gabe is bringing out good-girl Lily Jameson’s dirty side. Damn her code-of-conduct contract—this isn’t just a molten-hot fling. There’s just one kink in the relationship they’ve been avoiding: soon they’ll be going their separate ways. Lily’s home is in Savannah, and Gabe is a globe-trotter at heart. For them to be together, they’ll both have to upend their so-very-different worlds and face their fears in the process. And suddenly things don’t feel so Georgia peachy keen at all.

Broadway hotshot Nik Kovalenko is a confirmed bachelor. Ballroom champion Jess Davenport is a bona fide Scrooge. Last year, they shared a midnight kiss at a New Year’s Eve party that made both of them believe—briefly—in the magic of the holiday season. The magic was cut short when Nik went on tour the next day, but he never stopped thinking about that kiss—or Jess. When the holidays roll… Keep Reading »

Hot Cover Monday : The Boy Friend by Mika Jolie

Hot Cover Monday : The Boy Friend by Mika Jolie

According to the law of attraction, women and men can’t be friends. Contrary to this myth, my friendship with Coriander Phillips does not rest on unrequited love or un-actualized lust. We’ve been inseparable since the day I pulled one of her pigtails and she punched me in the gut. She’s hilarious, fun to hang out with. Together, we’re like peanut butter and jelly, spaghetti and meatballs, wings and beer. A match made in heaven. She’s the bomb. Did I mention she’s smokin’ hot? I’ve checked her out…maybe once or twice. Hey, I’m a guy. Seriously, no awkwardness, no secret yearning for our relationship to escalate beyond the purely platonic. I’m the boy friend—the loyal shoulder she cries on, the dispenser of coffee, sympathy, hugs, advice, and affection with no expectations. Until the invisible line between friends and lovers became blurry. Now I want more. I want her. All I have to do is convince her we can be more than friends. Right? If only it were that easy.
