Earth is dying, and Lucian Hoyt is going to die with it thanks to his parents cancelling his pass aboard the last shuttle off the planet. There is hope, though – a brilliant inventor has come up with a plan to build a ship to evacuate those who’ve been left behind.
That inventor turns out to be Genevieve Scott, Lucian’s bitter ex-fiancée. If they’re going to work together to get off this planet, they need to put their past aside, but even melting the ice between them can’t erase all the scars

One of my favourite themes in romance is lost love, mainly because the reactions between the H/h seem more realistic and it makes the HEA more important to see them struggle through anything to be together and Luchian and Gens story in Ironhaven didn’t disappoint.

Luchian comes from money and is used to the finer things in life but when his parents disown him after his refusal to marry their choice of bride his eyes are opened to the harsh realities of the world. In Gens attempts to make herself more worthy to Luchians parents she was in an horrific accident. Gen harbours a great deal of anger and hurt caused by Luchians betrayal but when he reappears in her life she finds she struggles to keep her feelings under wraps but fears that Luchian will not be interested when he realises what has happened to her.

I have never come across a virgin Hero before but it made a refreshing change to see the heroine being the confident, experienced one guiding the Hero rather than the other way round. For a heart warming romance with a brutal backdrop I would definitely recommend this book!
