Today, I am happy to be part of the Dee Tenorio Wanted tour. I only get involved in external tours of books I recommend and I really enjoyed this one. I love Dee’s answer for why she loves Friends-to-Lovers Romance as it sums up why I love them too (but she definitely puts it into words better!) Enjoy Ladies and Gents ….
Some secrets are worth dying for…
Undersheriff and former Marine Rick Trelane had one constant his entire life—his friendship with Whitney Peterson. Through thick and thin, she has never faltered. Never blamed. But when her former lover turns up dead, Rick must look past the walls he’s built to the woman he thought he knew inside and out…and discover he was wrong.
Whitney has secrets, deadly ones. The deeper he digs, the more he sees her as a woman he desires. And suspects. But as bodies start turning up, so does the evidence against her. Now the air is thick with secrets and shadows and giving into the longing could turn both their worlds upside down. Because this killer is just getting started…

Author Interview
If you had to sum up this book in one sentence, what would it be?
Whitney Peterson’s secrets are dying one by one, but is she the one Rick should be protecting…or hunting?
Tell us a bit about the central couple in this book. Why will we love them?
Rick Trelane, apart from being incredibly lickable, is also intensely loyal, protective, gruff and true. He’s a good man, haunted by his own mistakes and the scars caused by his past. He wants to let the pain go, but feels unworthy. He needs a reason to keep going.
Whitney Peterson is just like most of us—her life is hard but she does what she has to. She has a sly sense of humor and she’s in love with her best friend, even though she knows there’s no shot between them. Or is there?
What was your favourite scene to write in the book?
LOL, Whitney’s fantasy about Rick stripping for her…until Rick himself interrupts. Hands down, the most fun.
This is a Friends-to-Lovers book, which is one of my favourite tropes. What do you enjoy about reading this trope?
My favorite aspect of Friends To Lovers is that your best friend knows you SO well already. They know all about your bad side and they love you anyway. (Or at least puts up with you.) When that knowledge is enriched with another kind of love, you can have faith that it will truly last. I enjoy knowing these characters’ relationship will stand the test of time. I don’t always feel that way about characters who just met.
Romance get’s a hard time as a genre, what do you love the most about it?
Happily Ever After. That’s it in a nutshell. I’m one of those readers that needs a happy ending. As a writer, it has to be a REAL happy ending—if folks need a hospital stay or therapy, lol, I think they should get it—but I need to know, when I close the book, the people I’ve been cheering for will stay together. And when folks give me a hard time about my choice of story, I challenge them to think of their favorite films and picture how it would be if not only didn’t the hero get the girl at the end…what if there WAS no girl to try to get? What if the hero had absolutely no one to impress or fight for? Even ROCKY has a romance in it. (And if you look, so does every other movie that means something to you.)
About the Author
Dee Tenorio has a few reality issues. After much therapy for the problem—if one can call being awakened in the night by visions of hot able-bodied men a problem—she has proved incurable. It turns out she enjoys tormenting herself by writing sizzling, steamy romances of various genres spanning paranormal mystery dramas, contemporaries and romantic comedies. Preferably starring the sexy, somewhat grumpy heroes described above and smart-mouthed heroines who have much better hair than she does.
The best part is, no more therapy bills!
Well, not for Dee, anyway. Her husband and kids, on the other hand…
