Authors After Dark Spotlight 2013 : Stella Price Answers Some Questions

Most of your books are Sci-Fi/Fantasy Romances. Why do you like writing in this genre?

Well for me, anything “real life” needs to have a little bit extra, you know? Almost all the work we do is Contemporary time period, but with paranormal characters. I like how the different species add options one would not normally get in “real life”

If you had to pick one character you’ve created to have dinner with, who would it be and why?

Ooh tough one. I’m going to say Drake. He’s one of my first love’s and a flawed person, but OMG he’s an interesting guy.

A Demon and a Fey? They couldn’t be more different, yet they have a lot in common; Drake just doesn’t know it yet…

Drake, Bodyguard and best friend to the second prince of the Conglacio, Resident Sadist of the Afterverse, has indeed met his match in Enid Balfour. Cocky, Arrogant, sexy and quite the lady killer (literally), Drake thinks An evening with the “sex on legs” Fey he meets at a bar is just want he needs to work off steam. Little does he know that Enid, the Dark Moon Fey who picks him up in the bar is indeed a Maschochist of the highest caliber, and has been stalking him relentlessly for some time.

When Drake inadvertently Brands Enid one night in a moment of rough play, he didn’t realize that he’s made a dark and very binding contract with the woman that could very well be his undoing …

If you had to chose only one of your books to recommend to us as reviewers of all things sexy, which would it be?
Of Crimson and Collars. Its not exactly D/s, but its naughty and sexy as hell.

As a princess of the Satyr confederation, Minerva has been coddled, spoiled and revered, as well as taught and trained just how to serve her Satyr. beautiful, sexy and a prize in herself, she’s anxious to meet the man that will become her lover, master, and reason for living.

Esben Chambers, a half demon, half something else orphan lives on earth with few cares or ties. His family partially unknown, he’s embraced his Strigo, or time demon, heritage, though some of his powers are well out of the scope of the lords of time.

When a Imp shows up as his estate, claims he’s the only living Satyr prince to clan Tempest, Ben realizes there might be something to figuring out just who his fathers people were, and agrees to go to New York for a Convergence Summit. He’s counting on figuring out why he was left alone in the world.

What he doesn’t count on is the enchanting woman he sees in a floor show, the woman that makes his blood burn to possess her.

What is the next project that you’re working on?

Right now We are in the middle of finishing 2 books, This is Forever, the 2nd Novel in the 13 Shades of Red series and Darker Desire, the second book in the Inferi Dii series. Both should be out in December.

We’ve asked all authors to create a tagline for themselves. What would yours be?

Risk taking Romance—- (because few people are out there writing Weresnake and Octopus shifters!)

What are you looking forward to the most at Authors After Dark this year?
As with every year, I’m looking forward to seeing everyone. Writing is a solitary job and events like this let me hob nob with people that have similar interests. 4 days when we all get to hangout and talk books. It makes me really happy to do that, and to be able to share my own work with people that want to know about it.
