Help a Blogger Out : Help me pick my challenge books

Posted June 20, 2017 by Nix in meme / 12 Comments

Well, I wanted to do a book challenge and so I am! I have no idea on the books so I’m sending out an internet bat-signal to get some assistance.

Below, I’m going to post the categories I want to cover (only 10… I’m still not in full swing!). What I’m asking for is your suggestions on books for the categories ๐Ÿ™‚

These are my categories…comments/discussion/debate/flat out arguments all welcome (and gratefully received) at the end ๐Ÿ™‚

Outdoor Sex = Branded by Fire, Psy-Changeling book 6 (Riley & Mercy). One of my favorites in the series.

  2. Pansy Petal

Hmmmm . . . you are going in the opposite direction than me on most of these categories so I cannot be of much help with this. However, I did recently read the Sugar Bowl series by Sawyer Bennett that fits the Sugar Daddy category. Other than it being more serial than series – left us on cliffhangers in two of the books and it takes all three books to get the complete story – I loved this story. But then, I generally love most of Sawyer Bennett’s stories. I believe she may even cover the femdom category in her Legal Affairs Series. Languishing in that tbr mountain.

Comedy Smex – Have you read any of Julia Kent’s books? Her Random Series is hilarious! In Random Acts of Crazy think, naked hitchhiker with only a guitar hiding the goodies and a chicken named Mavis.

Hope this gives you some help.

Comedy Smex: Jenny Crusie. There’s a scene in Welcome to Temptation where the hero throws a clock that STILL makes me laugh out loud, and I read it when it came out MANY years ago. She often has bad sex in her books, too, when the characters decide to get to business before they really know each other. Though my all time ever favorite Crusie is Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer. There’s an angry sex scene at the beginning that’s awesome. LOLOL.

FemDom I’m gonna say hands down Joey w. Hill. Natural Law. He’s an alpha guy but she is very definitely the mistress. Her most recent, Truly Helpless, has a broken sub and the Mistress that helps him get his act together. Cherise Sinclair’s Servicing the Target is also fantastic. And of course Kristen Ashley has her new Honey series.

Weirdest shifter. I’m going with Vivian Arend. Lol. Her Pacific Passion series are 3 novellas (you can get all three for $4.99, so they’re appropriately priced) and they are a all about the same water shifter/shaman and an air shifter. They both can turn into multiple creatures. That’s not the weird part. The weird part are the otters. And the otters have an orgy. Of sorts LOLOL. Make sure to have cigarettes next to you for afterward. I’ve never smoked and even I was craving one. LOLOL.

Ok one last one for the shifter. Suzanne Wright has 2 intertwined pack series that are mostly wolves. But the one that came out this month the heroine is a Crow and they spend time with her flock. And there are two kids who were adopted into the Pack when the crow was. The little boy is a puma or something like that, but the little girl is a Viper. Though I’m not sure we’ve ever seen her shift. Maybe once a couple of books ago. It’s a good series, so I recommend it no matter what.

I fricking LOVE Mac in Natural Law … the best MF Femdom I’ve read. I also like the Viv Arend series … the otters are amazing,

I’ve never heard of Jenny Cruise … thanks for the rec ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Amy R

Tortured Heroine – Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter – heroine has issues and growing to do, I’m addicted to this series.
Cowgirl Heroine – Heroine isn’t a cowgirl but it’s based in a small ranching/farming community – Lost Rider by Harper Sloan
Comedy Smex- Anything But Minor by Kate Stewart

I’ve added ALL of these. I have to say that I would never have read Anything but Minor from the blurb but I’m willing to give it a go!
