How far can one favor go…

Logan McCade arrives at his best friend’s wedding overworked and in desperate need of a vacation, only to discover his best man duties have been…expanded. He must coax Colton’s sister out of her shell, or risk her hiding in her room all week. Logan figures he can handle one introverted bridesmaid, but he’s not expecting how much he enjoys “handling” Sophie…or how much she enjoys being handled.

Socializing has never been web designer Sophie Brooks’s strong suit, but she’s determined to shed her wallflower image and embrace the “New Sophie”—a feat made easier with the supremely sexy Logan McCade tempting her to explore all her forbidden fantasies. If she’s not careful, she just might fall for the best man.

Sophie’s sweet, sexy, and delectably awkward demeanor brings much-needed calm to Logan’s hectic life. With the nuptials only days away, Logan is forced to face the possibility that his favor to a friend might have become something else entirely…and that he’s not willing to let Sophie go. Ever.

FTC : I requested this book as part of the series to review. I do not know the author.

Well, this book was a surprise. I’m always happy with a best-friends-little-sister trope book, but this one has made sure that I take some more notice of this particular author. It was a fun, light read with a hefty dose of sex. I loved it!

Sophie is quite excited by her brothers wedding. Recently losing weight, trying for a promotion at work and generally just having a life-overhaul, she goes into the wedding looking for some fun. I had high hopes for her and, for the most part she delivered. She tried her hardest to keep her new-found confidence in the face of the rest of the stunning wedding party but, sometimes, her confidence wavered and then the problems arose. The new Sophie engaged in conversations, told Logan what she wanted and tried to have some adventure. Jealous Sophie had claws and an unattractive bitchy side (I wasn’t a fan of jealous Sophie as she was also incredibly irrational). I got why she had the irrational side but that side got far more airtime than I wanted it to.

Logan is the best man and, as part of his duties, he is asked to make sure that Sophie socializes with the rest of the wedding party (saw that one biting him on the arse from a mile away). He dutifully does what he is asked but is surprised by how much he enjoys her company. His life is fricking bonkers and she brings fun (when she’s not being bat-shit crazy) and relaxation. Logan is a lovely guy but his priorities are completely out of line. He works all of the time, he never dates, never does anything relaxing … it is a rather pants existence. Sophie reintroduced him to life and this made this a rather well-rounded story; Neither of them needed the other to complete their lives but they sure made each other happier. I liked them together, believed in the chemistry between them and generally rooted for their HEA. Of course, there are the usual barriers and I spent the majority of the story hoping that Sophie wouldn’t hit the self-destruct button and pull the plug on them before they really had a chance together.

The sex scenes are some of the best in the series. There is dirty sex, Sophie-in-charge sex, sex whilst on a phone-call sex and plenty of dirty, dirty talk. I loved the flair that this author has for writing dynamic chemistry and I will be picking up more of her work.

Overall, this was the perfect end to this rather fantastic series. One of my favourites, this book was fun, dirty and light… perfect bedtime reading 🙂
