Welcome to Top Picks. This is a weekly post which features books out this week which have caught my eye.
I have decided to split the list into three; On my List, On my Radar and Caught My eye. The first is those I have every intention of reading. On my Radar feautures books that I have marked on a wishlist, possibly as I am awaiting a price drop or am not up to that book in the series. The last are more one’s I know next to nothing about but have caught my eye for some reason. All books are one’s which I would potentially read.
As always, I do my due diligence on all books I put on here. I don’t recommend books from authors who I know have engaged in awful behaviour or have bigotted views – I chose not to give them my money so you won’t find them on here. If I make a mistake and feature an author who has engaged in bad behaviour, tell me in the comments and the book will be removed.
I don’t read NA. I do not read reverse harem. I also do not read Pandemic romance. Those books will not feature here.
Due to issues with prices, I will no longer be posting RRP’s of these books – the prices I post seem to be accurate for a day so I feel it is completely pointless.

Danger is closing in.
Kerrigan Whitaker has spent the past two years reinventing herself into the strong, independent woman she’s always wanted to be, and running her first ultra marathon is the chance to prove to herself and everyone else how far she’s come. Her failed marriage made her wary of relationships, so she’s not ready to get involved with anyone else. Not even the man she secretly fantasizes about—who also happens to be her brother’s best friend. But when people she works closely with are murdered, she goes to the only place she feels safe—Crimson Point, and the man who tempts her like no other.
And the killer is closer than they realize.
Air National Guard Pararescueman Travis Masterson loves his career and has dedicated his life to saving and protecting others. There’s only one thing missing. Kerrigan—but she’s determined to keep walls up between them. He understands why she’s gun shy, but he can’t let her go. Not when every instinct is screaming that she’s it for him. After a shocking attack leaves her in the crosshairs of a cold-blooded killer, Travis is the only one who can save her. With her life in his hands, he’ll risk it all to stop the killer and protect the woman he can’t live without.
If you need a vital ingredient found for your dangerous occult practice, Russell Bristow is your man, no questions asked. But when he’s offered a job so dark that even he turns it down, it gets his only family held hostage. Now he has no choice but to locate a young woman marked for a sacrifice. He knows it will leave a scar on his soul, but nothing could prepare him for the toll it would take on his heart.
Zoe King won’t be used as currency to pay her sorcerer father’s debt to a demon. She’ll fight for her life with everything she’s got, even if it’s a formidable love hex. When Russell is blackmailed into kidnapping Zoe, they soon find themselves wondering if their feelings for each other are real, or just a magical illusion.
Russell’s past is coming back to haunt him, and there’s a demon with a claim on Zoe’s soul. Hellfire is on the horizon, and there may be no escape.
Briar Rose might have a name out of a storybook, but she learned at a very young age that no prince was coming to save her. She’ll have to save herself. Unfortunately, even that is an impossible task in her current situation—trapped in a terrifying marriage to a dangerous man.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, which is how she finds herself making a deal with a demon. Freedom from her husband…in return for seven years of service.
She expects the service to be backbreaking and harsh. She doesn’t expect to be put on an auction block in a room full of literal monsters and sold to the highest bidder.
He might seem kinder than his fearsome looks imply, but she knows better than to trust the way he wants to take care of her, or how invested he is in her pleasure. In her experience, if something seems too good to be true, it certainly is.
Falling for Sol is out of the question. She’s suffered enough, and she has no intention of staying in this realm…even if she leaves her heart behind when she returns to her normal life.

She’s got a billionaire boyfriend, but life is far from perfect…
Thirty-four and divorced, Sierra Wu is a constant disappointment to her family. They approved of her former career as an engineer but were horrified when she quit to run a small greeting card store.
So, the last thing she expected in her not-so-spectacular life was being swept off her feet by Colton Sanders. Yes, that Colton Sanders, the billionaire. They’ve been together for a year, and despite his reputation with women, it’s going well.
There’s only one tiny problem: Jake Tong.
A former friend and employee of Colton, the irritatingly handsome Jake tells Sierra to break up with Colton for her own good. She refuses, of course. Why should she trust Jake?

I never asked to be a witch, but as careers go, at least it comes with magical perks.
Who knew a person could almost die from drinking? I found out the hard way when I woke up in a hospital and a nurse informed me I was legally dead for a few minutes. Shocking, but not as much as the fact I returned different.
I can see things, but it’s what I can do that has people interested in me.
There’s Sonja, a strange woman with powers who appoints herself my teacher.
Anakin, the mysterious and super hot dude, who owns a pastry shop of all things catering to weird folk.
Leslie, my furry-tailed coworker and only friend.
And then there’s the bad guys determined to get their grubby hands on me.
I’m not special. Just a woman trying to clean up her life and actually plan for a future. Will I have time to atone for my many sins before my luck runs out?
He’s only supposed to be renting a room in her house, not making himself at home in her heart…
A reverse age gap, small town, instalove romance
When my son asks if I’ll rent the spare bedroom to his new friend from work, I figure, why not? The house is too quiet since my twenty-five-year-old baby moved out. I never thought I’d miss the sounds of video games, but apparently, I do.
But that’s not the background noise I get when Hudson moves in. Turns out, my son’s coworker isn’t a likeminded gaming geek. Hudson doesn’t play video games. He works out. A lot.
Now my house is filled with the masculine grunting of a very fit, very handsome, younger man who owns shirts, but isn’t inclined to wear them. Ditto for pants. Everywhere I turn in my tiny house, Hudson is there. Flexing. Smoldering.
I can’t resist looking at him. Or using him for inspiration while I write my current romance novel. Fantasizing about him when I’m lying in my bed.
He’s my tenant. My son’s coworker. A man fifteen years younger than me. Hudson is fodder for my mind, but that’s all he can be…until the night he puts every fantasy I’ve had to shame.
House hunting is a slow process, and hotel living sucks, so I jump at the opportunity to temporarily rent a room from my coworker’s mother. I’m told the place is clean, and the woman is easy to get along with. Perfect.
What the guy across the office doesn’t tell me? That his mom is ten-out-of-ten hot. Single. And sexual, if the sounds seeping through the paper-thin wall separating our bedrooms are any indication.
I’m not a pushy guy, but a man has his limits. Being perpetually hard around her, hearing her moan every night—it’s more than I can take. So I make a move. A big one. And it pays off, in the best ways possible.
Our chemistry is red hot. We connect outside the bedroom, too. I’m only supposed to be here temporarily, but every minute I spend with Laura makes me determined never to leave.
A boss. His employee.

He protects what he owns, but he doesn’t own her. Yet.
When Giada Marconi attends an annual gala with the handsome Malachy Byrne, she’s looking for her missing sister. Instead, she finds Malachy’s brother, Judah. The Black Lion.

“Trapped” on a decadent island with the delicious and gorgeous Judah, Giada turns her sights from one brother to the next, telling herself it’s only so she can find out what happened to her sister. She’s certainly not going to fall in love with the arrogant jerk who kidnapped her. No matter what.
Not even if they get a thousand kisses deep…
