So, this year hasn’t been a great year in terms of reading volume for me but there have been some fabulous reads. It has also seen the end to a couple of favourite series (Jeaniene Frost and Jill Shalvis) which has made me very sad. Sentimentality aside, it has been a tough choice so I had to set some criteria for this list. I had to pick 10 books that were published this year and that I have already read a few times. I’ve loved reading everyone else’s list so I do hope you enjoy mine …
In no particular order, these are my Top Ten of 2014 ..
This series was a complete surprise but I loved it! Zombies, wolves and mayhem … what’s not to love? It is a series that needs to be read in order but this was a fabulous finale and it was a geek romance to boot!
I love this series, I love this author and I ADORED this book. I had been waiting for Livvy’s book for quite a while and it didn’t disappoint. This year’s list was all about books that I adored and that I’ve reread over and over again … this one has already been read multiple times and it never gets old.
This series just keeps getting better and better. I honestly didn’t know how it could but it has. I love the UF story-lines and I the relationship between Kate and Curran is slightly addictive to read about. If you haven’t given this series a try, you should.
This is the last in the series and I think it’s one of the best. I loved the relationship between Callie and Tanner, loved seeing the two love cynics fall. I thought it was cute, funny and sweet … I was so sad to see this series end.
I think this is one of my all time favourites of the series … I fricking loved Vasic. This story has been building for a while and I loved how I saw chinks of ice stripping away from his outer shell in each book – I was chomping at the bit for him to find some happiness. The love story was brilliant and the developments in the story arc were pretty damn good too. Not to read as a stand-alone.
I love the grit in Kele Moon’s writing and this one was no exception – Marcos’s book was gritty, sexy and full of action. I can’t wait for the rest in the series. This can be read as a standalone but I wouldn’t.
I love Tessa Dare’s Spindle Cove books so I pre-ordered this one… I think it’s the best that I’ve read from her. It features a mainly blind former player and a spinster heroine…I loved it all but the ending made me swoon so hard I nearly had tears in my eyes.
This book made me feel so warm and cuddly … it’s such a good read. I’ve been a fan of Sarah M.Anderson for a while and I am slightly biased in my good favour for this book …it’s Nobody! I loved this book about a scarred man finding love.
I love Ilona Andrews writing and this new series looks like it could be my new crack. With a UF backdrop and a slightly sociopathic hero who only cares about the heroine, it’s bound to end up as addictive as the Kate Daniels stories.
Another entry for GA Aikin/Shelly Laurenston in my Top 10 … I love her snarky, laugh-out-lous writing style and incredible character writing. This could be my favourite of the series….
Great List! A couple of those will be in my top reads post tomorrow as well 😀
Out of all of yours, I have only read Viper and LOVED it!!! Marcos is so sexy! ;D
