You shouldn’t mix business with pleasure.

Yet pleasure seems to be the one and only thing on Charlize’s mind the moment Connor steamrolls into her life. Desperate to save her family company, prove she’s more than a pretty face and worthy of being CEO, pleasure is a distraction she can’t afford.

She doesn’t want a bodyguard, especially not one whose caveman heroics kick her libido into hyperdrive. But surrounded by enemies and an attacker on the loose, there’s only one man she can trust with her life.

Connor knows better than to get personal with clients. Yet there couldn’t be anything more personal about his feelings for Charlize. From the moment he clapped eyes on her he wanted nothing more than to throw her over his shoulder and really give her something to scream about. He’ll get his uptight she-cat to unwind, preferably one orgasm at a time.

With Connor in her office, her home, driving her to sweet, merciless distraction, there’s only so long Charlize can resist his sexy, dominant brand of protection.

I do wince at the high prices of Nalini Singh’s recent Psy/Changling novels. Can’t say that my library usually carries them.

Do they ever go on sale?

    • They can do but it depends on the format. This is the highest I’ve ever seen them though. What is your usual format if you don’t mind me asking.

I’m a kindler, but I sometimes read pdfs with Adobe reader. I just received my first Mobi file (do I have that right?) on an ARC I agreed to review. That opened with my Kindle program, though.

In the past I’ve sometimes waited for hard copies of expensive books to become available as resale items on eBay or Amazon. I may do that instead. It’s not so much that I begrudge Ms. Singh the money. It’s the principle of the thing with the DRM encoding that prohibits me from sharing books. Doesn’t feel like real ownership to me, so I resent paying higher prices for them.

        • If you can read PDF, you’ve got more chance of sale. I am marking it on Luzme and getting it to track the price for a couple of weeks. I have a feeling it will go down but I know I’ll be able to pick up a hard copy if it doesn’t.

It doesn’t feel like ownership and, as amazon decided to take someones entire collection, I don’t even think they consider it to be
