This is our Top Picks post. In it, I highlight books that take my fancy. This could be because of the author name on the front, the blurb or even the cover (sometimes, that’s all it takes). Please be aware of our new policies regarding books which means that only authors I would spend my money on will appear on here. I am trying to look beyond Amazon and Barnes and Noble for my Top Picks but I have to say they are a PIA to navigate.
Status on TR List :I love Jill Shalvis and I’m quite excited about reading the new series 🙂
Cedar Ridge, Colorado, is famous for crisp mountain air, clear blue skies, and pine-scented breezes. And it’s the last place Lily Danville wants to be. But she needs a job, and there’s an opening at the hottest resort in her hometown. What has her concerned is the other hot property in Cedar Ridge: Aidan Kincaid-firefighter, rescue worker, and heartbreaker. She never could resist that devastating smile . . .
The Kincaid brothers are as rough and rugged as the Rocky Mountains they call home. Aidan has always done things his own way, by his own rules. And never has he regretted anything more than letting Lily walk out of his life ten years ago. If anyone has ever been in need of rescuing, she has. What she needs more than anything are long hikes, slow dances, and sizzling kisses. But that can only happen if he can get her to give Cedar Ridge-and this bad boy-a second chance . . .
Status on TR List : I love this series but I’m a little confused by this blurb I’ll admit…
This cowboy is about to learn a whole new set of rope tricks…
Studs In Spurs, Book 8
Bull rider Aaron Jordan is willing to do whatever it takes to support his chosen sport. Showing the owner of the pro-tour’s biggest sponsor around town during an event seems simple enough. Until he finds himself all tied up—literally—with a newly divorced, insanely rich cougar.
Worse, once CeCe Cole gets her hooks into him, Aaron can’t even look at the woman he’s really attracted to—her media manager, Jill Malone—without getting the older woman’s panties in a wad.
Jill’s job at Cole Shock Absorbers got a lot harder when CeCe won the company in the divorce. But having to listen to the shenanigans going on between CeCe and Aaron in the next hotel room is a new low.
Aaron is relieved when the event is over and, presumably, his responsibility to CeCe. But extricating himself from her blood-red claws is far from easy, and surviving the wrath of hurricane CeCe could have career-ending implications for himself, the association and the lady he’d hoped to get to know better—Jill.
Warning: Contains a cougar who likes to play with her prey in ways this poor cowboy never imagined. Two wraps and a hooey doesn’t begin to cover it.
Status on TR List : Love Rhian …. on the TR list
He’ll give her everything…if she dares to give him her heart.

Her dream job waiting for her in Perth, Shaye Adams has thirty days to pack up her life. There’s just one hot piece of unfinished business to take care of before she puts Sydney behind her. Get Cooper Moreland into her bed and out of her system.
Coop couldn’t be happier to be the man burning up Shaye’s bed—except for all her rules. No hooking up at either of their houses. No dating. And definitely no strings. If he could just get her to take off her blinders, she’d see that happiness is waiting for her right here. And he’s not above using every dirty trick—in bed and out—to make the stubborn woman want to stick around.
As Shaye lives out every fantasy she’s ever had about Coop, she realizes it’s easy to hand over her body, but she never bargained for her heart going along for the wild ride. And now her biggest fear is a reality…
Warning: A heroine who thinks reality will never live up to the fantasy—until the hero gets between her sheets.

Status on TR List :I love Holley Trent’s work … on the TR list.
Seventeen years ago, beautiful blueblood Emilie Beaudelaire left New Orleans carrying a dirty little secret that could have sullied her family’s pristine reputation. At thirty-three, she’s content with her quiet life on her Texas ranch and the solitude that residence in the middle of nowhere brings her. When her uncle has a brush with death, she returns home, reluctantly, to lend her support…only to come face to face with the man half responsible for her leaving in the first place. It would seem the baseball team her big brother Henri sponsors has a blast from her past on its roster, and that man has never forgiven her for how she left.
The Reedsville Roosters’ first baseman Leary Marshall last heard from his high school sweetheart via a stack of paperwork sent by her family’s lawyers. Running into Emilie after so many years at her family’s hotel rips open old wounds…but reignites former passions, too. As if things aren’t complicated enough, Leary’s been in a committed relationship to his cowboy right fielder Ren Thompson for a year. He loves Ren, but Emilie’s allure as “the one who got away” is impossible to ignore.
When the sometime-dominatrix Emilie turns out to be a convenient teacher for Ren’s BDSM curiosity, Leary wonders if it’s possible the three of them could each have it all. They could make a perfectly balanced trio, but first, Emilie has to accept that being a Beaudelaire means scandal at every turn—and that the cause of her newest one may be the perfect cure for what ails her.
