Top Picks is a weekly meme that we do here at Scorching Book Reviews. In this post, I highlight the Romance books that I want to read that are released this week.
They are all books on my TR pile and only books we are interested in spending money on. I do not ask people to recommed books or highlght releases for author promo.
I feel I have to point out that books in a series are only going to be featured on here if I have started the series. I can’t recommend a series at book 14 when I haven’t read the others. I also don’t read NA…..
I have pre-ordered this book – I adore Vivian Arend’s shifters and this one is POLAR BEARS. I love the cover…
The stand alone first title in a brand-new shifter trilogy by New York Times bestselling author Vivian Arend.
Get mated—or else!
When their meddling, match-making family patriarch lays down the law, Giles Borealis’ three polar bear shifter grandsons agree to follow his edict. Only James, Alex and Cooper each have a vastly different plan in mind to deal with their impending mating fevers. Will any of them be able to fight fate?
Spoiler: not likely!
First up: James, the youngest of the brothers….
He’s going to accept his fate—but only with the woman he chooses!
Youngest brother James Borealis figures if he has to get mated, it should be with someone he already knows and cares about—his best friend Kaylee. But when the mating fever hits, she’s still stuck in friendshipland while he’s ready to move all the way to true love and forever.
Kaylee has heard about polar bear mating fever, but while James has held the starring role in her fantasies for a long time, she’s not about to leap into a permanent relationship that’s all wrong for him. He’s the PR powerhouse for Borealis Gems while she’s a quiet bobcat shifter with massive family baggage. He loves the spotlight; she wants to hide in quiet corners.
But mating fever knows best, and when the storm settles, there’s no use in arguing with a polar bear’s choice.
Stacey Kennedy writes very hot, fun romance and I still have not read this series – I do own book one though 🙂 On the list
USA Today bestselling author Stacey Kennedy is back with the thrilling and emotional conclusion of the Dirty Hacker duet about a hacker who doesn’t back down on a case, a sexy CIA agent who is more than a little overprotective, and two slightly reluctant but perfectly matched hearts.
Tracking a killer is the last thing hacker Alex McCoy expected out of her vacation to New York, but after rekindling her one-time romance with sexy CIA Agent Rowan Hawke, she can’t refuse his request for help. Waiting for a break in the case proves to be more challenging than Alex expected, especially because it gives her too much time to think about her growing feelings for Rowan. Feelings she would much rather write off as the intensely hot chemistry between them.
Rowan knows that Alex has a lot of emotional baggage, but every day as they work together, he becomes more certain she’s the woman for him. Unfortunately, Rowan’s instinct to protect her is put to the test when secrets come to light and Alex throws herself in the line of fire to help Rowan solve the case. As Rowan falls deeper for Alex, he must open up about his past and give her the chance to prove that she’s the right partner—in work and in life.
Alex and Rowan are up against a powerful perpetrator, with only their courage and their love for each other to help them through. But Alex’s choice to run head-first into danger might be the one thing that breaks them apart…permanently.
I haven’t read any of this series however Jaci Burton is always a good bet! I’m watching this one
New York Times bestselling author Jaci Burton blisters the asphalt in another steamy Wild Rider novella where a hot biker craves a life of passion and danger–and finds it with the woman he’s sworn to protect.
Jed Templeton is one of the newest Wild Riders, and anxious for adventure. He doesn’t expect to be tasked for a personal mission by his boss General Grange Lee. When he discovers the job involves safeguarding the general’s niece, Jed realizes the stakes have climbed as high as they’ve ever been.
Elena Madison has her life just as she wants it—a successful career running her gallery in Daytona Beach. And if her love life is a little thin, that’s okay. But when a sexy biker walks into her shop and asks her out, fiery passion erupts—followed by a series of burglaries and near attacks, turning her life upside down. Now she’s on the run with the man who lied to protect her, a man she thinks she’s falling in love with…
Jed’s found the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with. Now he has to keep Elena alive long enough to prove to her that love is always worth the risk.
How gorgeous is this cover? I haven’t read the first in this series yet but I love Holley Trent and I love Poly romance so I have moved it up the list!
Sometimes three is deliciously better than two
Raleigh McKean has borne witness to every conceivable way one person can take advantage of another. He sees it all the time in his job as a book publicist, especially working alongside his boss’s daughter. Everley Shannon would be amazing if she wasn’t such a pain in his ass.
All Raleigh wants is something real. But when the captivating stranger he agrees to go home with turns out to be Bruce Engle, the elusive rock star, it’s a harsh reminder that users are everywhere. Raleigh’s his route to a book deal, nothing more.
What Raleigh doesn’t realize is that the brooding musician is also searching for something real—and it’s possible he’s already found it in Everley’s arms. But is there room in those arms for one more?
With Everley’s own dream of getting out from under her father’s shadow crumbling into chaos, it feels like the perfect time to embrace something new. But when Raleigh’s insatiable attraction to both Everley and Bruce makes it impossible to keep his distance, there’s only one obvious solution…assuming they can learn how to share.
