Top Picks is a weekly meme that we do here at Scorching Book Reviews. In this post we highlight the books that we want to read that are released this week. They are books on our TR pile.

This week, there are a couple of books that stand out as ones that I need to own. Kit Rocha continues her amazing erotic series with Beyond Jealousy (yes, it has been abbreviated to BJ on twitter…. which has amused me greatly) and I can’t wait to get my hands on this. The fabulous MM series Cut and Run continues with Ball and Chain… I love Ty and Zane! I’ve heard mixed reviews of this one but I can’t not read it on the basis of the bad ones… I adore this series. Finally is a book from the amazing Thea Harrison writing under her pseudonym Amanda Carpenter. I’ve never tried her harlequin romances but can say, if harlequin romances are your thing, they will be amazing due to the skill of this author.

This weeks Top Picks are….

She’s been looking for the perfect man. She found two.

When Rachel Riley sacrificed a life in Eden to protect the O’Kanes, she earned her place in the powerful Sector Four gang. But the former crime princess is tired of being everyone’s sweet little sister . It’s time for her to get wild, to embrace her fantasies as only an O’Kane can—with a delicious exiled soldier and the gang’s wickedly sinful tattoo artist.

A saint…

Lorenzo Cruz is a warrior, taught by his commanding officers in Eden that involvement equals distraction. Emotion is a liability, and desire a sin. In Sector Four, he finds decadence, shameless sex—and his own dark urges. No battle strategy prepared him for how Rachel makes his heart race…or the way his rival for her affections sets his blood on fire.

…and a sinner.

Ace Santana has a dirty reputation and a mind to match, especially where his new lovers are concerned. He’s eager to help Cruz embrace his dominant side, and to explore the lines between pleasure and pain with Rachel. But corrupting them quickly becomes an obsession, a need he can’t deny—and a love he never imagined.

Three hearts on the line means a hundred ways their ménage a trois could go wrong. After all, even O’Kanes do forever two-by-two. One of them could be the missing piece that makes them all whole…or a temporary diversion destined for a broken heart.

Home from their unexpected deployment, the former members of Marine Force Recon team Sidewinder rejoin their loved ones and try to pick up the pieces of the lives they were forced to leave behind. Ty Grady comes home to Zane Garrett, only to find that everything around him has changed—even the men he went to war with. He barely has time to adjust before his brother, Deuce, asks Ty to be his best man. But that isn’t all Deuce asks Ty to do, and Ty must call for backup to deal with the business issues of Deuce’s future father-in-law.

Nick O’Flaherty and Kelly Abbott join Ty and Zane at the wedding on an island in Scotland, thinking they’re there to assuage Deuce’s paranoia. But when bodies start dropping and boats start sinking, the four men get more involved with the festivities than they’d ever planned to.

With the clock ticking and the killer just as stuck on the isolated island as they are, Ty and Zane must navigate a veritable minefield of family, friends, and foes to stop the whole island from being destroyed.

Men adored her, women envied her

Caprice lived up to her name. A tantalizing, colorful butterfly, she was an unpredictable young beauty who kept everything hidden beneath the surface. No man had ever gotten close to her, and that was the way she wanted it.

Why, then, did her mind dwell on the handsome, enigmatic Pierce Langston? Why did he excite her… and frighten her?

Caprice knew the answer. It lay in his disturbing gaze, which seemed to see right through her; in his touch, which sent sensual shivers down her spine…
